Self Storage - Convenient or Just A Luxury?

Self storage is definitely become common place in today's world, at least in the U.S. What storage operators know that consumers don't is that the average individual will almost always keep the unit longer than they had planned. The average length of stay according to the Self Storage Association is about ten months. In a survey done with self storage customers, out of 1200 people the average assumed length of stay was only 2.6 months!
Do we really need self storage or do we get sucked into the "out of site out of mind" feeling? If we don't see the piles of furniture and junk piled up in our own garage then it doesn't really bother us. So for the sake of convenience we spend an extra $750 over the course of the year which doesn't make a whole lot of sense does it? It is up to you to plan ahead and make sure that you don't use self storage longer than you really need it.

Mini Storage Lockers

Mini Storage Lockers

Mini storage lockers are kind of an old school name for storage units. Mini storage lockers typically are the smallest of units useful for storing a basketball and a couple of other items if you live in an apartment or condo. You can probably find a 5x5 or even a 3x5 for under $25 each month which isn't bad considering all things. Mini storage can be something that you can use for long periods of time and access your stuff whenever you want. It is a pretty common thing for sports teams that play softball or other sports only during the spring and summer.
